The RGL-PCJ is a liner deployed autonomous inflow control, nozzle based flow control system for new SAGD well completions. The RGL-PCJ independently and autonomously controls steam breakthrough in-situ and to a lesser extent, relative to pressure drop control of steam, controls water breakthrough. Oil production is unhindered with the RGL-PCJ design and is preferentially produced over both water and steam. Installing multiple RGL-PCJs can improve the recovery rates and optimize subcool.

Each RGL-PCJ is completed and designed with high slot density slotted liner or screen resulting in large open flow areas for optimal exposure to the reservoir sand and the producing interval. The RGL-PCJ is applicable for optimal inflow and/or outflow distribution control for steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) injection and/or production wells. An integrated slotted liner or screen for reservoir specific sand control is combined and deployed in a single trip.
