RGL featuring benefits of Sand Control Testing Facility at SPE Conference on Formation Damage Control

Calgary, AB – January 18, 2018 – One of three technical papers RGL is presenting at this year’s SPE International Conference and Exhibition on Formation Damage Control introduces the foundation concept of proLAB™, RGL’s Sand Control Testing Facility, successfully launched in 2017.

RGL will present “A Large-Scale Sand Retention Test Facility for Evaluation and Selection of Optimal Standalone Sand Screen for Injection Wells in Thermal Operations SPE-189557” alongside co-author Dr. Alireza Nouri from the University of Alberta’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

RGL technical team will also present:

  • Sand Control Design Through Assessment of Mathematical Models Representing Particle Size and Control Distribution of Reservoir Sands, SPE-189528”, and,
  • Comparative Study on the Performance of Different Stand-alone Sand Control Screens in Thermal Wells, SPE-189539.”

This is the first year RGL is attending and exhibiting at the conference, to be held in Lafayette Louisiana February 7 – 8, 2018.
